Dorset Police stopped and seized a vehicle for having no insurance on the Royal Chase Roundabout in Shaftesbury.

The PC and PCSO in the Vauxhall Astra estate police car were using the Automatic Number Place Recognition (ANPR) system to stop cars that shouldn’t be on the road.

It wasn’t long before the grey Vauxhall Corsa drove by and triggered the system.

The vehicle was recovered. The registered keeper will have to reclaim the vehicle by showing evidence of valid insurance and paying the storage and recovery fees.
