Dorset is set to bring together community groups, local authorities, businesses and environmental champions next month for the inaugural Litter Free Dorset Summit 2026, aimed at tackling litter and promoting sustainable practices across the county.

The full-day event takes place on Wednesday 14 January 2026 at Shire Hall Museum in Dorchester, with organisers inviting residents and organisations from all walks of life to come along, share ideas and help shape local environmental action.

Organised by Litter Free Dorset, the summit will explore ways to reduce waste, develop circular economy solutions and protect Dorset’s cherished landscapes and coastline. Delegates will have the opportunity to network with environmental leaders and hear from a range of keynote speakers.

High-Profile Speakers and Practical Insight

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Dan Dicker, Founder of Circular & Co
  • Toby Blume, Social Engine
  • Roy Beale, Founder of Clean Jurassic Coast
  • Marten Gregory, Dorset Council Recycling Team
  • Alexandra Guerra Unwin, Business Manager at Lush Green Hub.

Emma Teasdale, co-ordinator of Litter Free Dorset and the event’s organiser, said the summit was a chance to find real solutions to litter issues and bring people together to make a tangible difference. “Whether you’re a community litter picker, business owner, environmentalist, or just keen to know more, all are welcome to this exciting new event,” she added.

Tickets, Booking and Participation

Entry to the summit is via a suggested donation of ÂŁ10, which includes lunch and refreshments. Those interested in attending can book through Eventbrite.

A Wider Push for a Cleaner Dorset

The summit aligns with ongoing efforts across Dorset to encourage greener living and sustainable practices. Dorset Council and partner organisations have been promoting initiatives to reduce waste, support recycling and address climate and nature challenges as part of long-term environmental strategies.

This event represents a new opportunity for residents, community groups and businesses to come together and build on that momentum, sharing ideas and practical approaches that could help shape a cleaner, greener future for Dorset.

If you’d like to know more about the summit or get involved, booking details and event information are available on Eventbrite and via Litter Free Dorset’s website.
