Renewed appeal and new images released in search for missing Weymouth man

Dorset Police are renewing their appeal for public assistance in the ongoing search for missing 25-year-old Joe Clements from Weymouth. New images of Joe have been released in a bid to jog the public’s memory or provide fresh leads.

Joe was last seen by his family around 11am on Tuesday, 20th June 2023. He is believed to have been in the Chesil Beach area on Portland later that night and has not been seen or heard from since. Described as five feet nine inches tall, of slim build, and with brown hair, Joe’s disappearance has sparked a significant police operation.

Chief Inspector Andy Edwards of Dorset Police commented on the efforts to locate Joe, stating, “It has been a week since Joe was last seen and we are continuing to do all we can to locate them. Officers are also keeping Joe’s family updated with any developments.”

The police have issued a fresh appeal for any information regarding Joe’s movements or whereabouts, particularly in the area of Chesil Beach on the night of Tuesday 20 June into the early hours of Wednesday 21 June 2023. Joe was believed to have travelled to Portland in a grey Kia Sportage.

To assist in the public’s recognition, Dorset Police have also released new images of Joe, hoping that these might help anyone who may have seen him in the area.
