Police officer coast

In the early hours of Saturday, 10th June 2023, a man in his 20s suffered a violent assault in Bournemouth, prompting an urgent appeal from Dorset Police for information that could aid their ongoing investigation.

The assault, which took place between 12:30am and 1:20am in an alleyway behind a row of shops off Charminster Road, close to the Dancing Jug, left the victim with significant injuries. He sustained a broken nose, a cut to his head, and a serious knee injury necessitating surgery.

We have conducted a number of initial enquiries into this assault and, following further contact with the victim, I am now in a position to appeal for information from members of the public to assist our investigation.

I am keen to hear from any witnesses or any motorists in the area who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.
