Police find a large quantity of cannabis in Shaftesbury

Police officer coast

Dorset Police have cordoned off a property on Bell Street, Shaftesbury at around 2:30pm yesterday for purposes of a property search.

Upon carrying out a search, a “large quantity” of cannabis plants was found at the address, and a man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of producing a class B drug, but is assisting the police with their enquiries.

Officers remain at the address carrying out enquiries and a cordon is in place.
