A highly experienced lawyer who specialises in inheritance planning for farmers and landowners has joined Dorset law firm Ellis Jones Solicitors as a Partner.
Chris Pemberton, who is a recommended lawyer in Legal 500 guide for 2021, has been welcomed into the Wills, Trusts and Probate team.
His extensive experience also includes advice about trusts for people with learning difficulties and he is on the charity Mencap’s panel of recommended advisors.
Chris has become the 18th Partner at Ellis Jones, which has more than 140 staff in Bournemouth, Canford Cliffs (Poole), Ringwood, Swanage and Wimborne as well as London.
He will divide his time between working in Ellis Jones’ Swanage office and from home in Dorchester to help meet rising demand for the firm’s services in west Dorset.
Chris is a superb lawyer who is at the pinnacle of his powers.
He is very well known across the region and has an excellent reputation in private client work, especially in trusts for farmers, landowners and people with learning difficulties.
His appointment further strengthens our Wills, Trusts and Probate team and will allow us to meet growing demand, especially in west Dorset.
Nigel Smith, Managing Partner
Chris is a registered Trust Estate Practitioner with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
It is a privilege to help families plan for the future security of their loved ones.
Many within the farming and landowning communities require specialist help, as well as families seeking to set up trusts for relatives with learning difficulties.
I am looking forward to helping more clients and contributing to the continued growth of Ellis Jones Solicitors.
