Weymouth and Portland Police are appealing for witnesses after an ambulance had it’s windscreen smashed when debris flew off from the top of a lorry.

The incident happened at around 10:25 am on 12th June 2020, and resulted in minor injuries to the ambulance crew.

The South Western Ambulance Service vehicle was travelling between the Veasta and Jurassic Roundabouts on the A354 when the load flew off the lorry.

Police are asking for anyone who saw the incident or caught it on dash cam to come forward.

The lorry and driver did not stop at the scene and police are keen to make contact.

At this stage, it is unclear if the driver would have been aware of this incident, and speculation should be avoided.
