The amazing “Pirates of the Pavilion” is returning to Weymouth, with shows at Nothe Fort from Monday 17th August to Sunday 23rd August at 4:30pm and 7:30pm each day!
Made to Measure Productions, a Blandford-based business has announced a new partnership with Weymouth Pavilion to bring you the new show for the seventh time, but at a new venue and with new screenplay.
The show has been written to perfectly suit Nothe Fort in an effort to deliver an exciting production, using the available space and equipment.
The changed production of “Pirates of the Pavilion” has been written by the same team behind Weymouth’s popular Christmas Pantomime, with all of the same favourite actors.
In a period of much uncertainty for theatrical and arts organisations around the world, it’s wonderful to know that creative innovation and collaboration have allowed us to bring our unique summer pantomime back to Weymouth for yet another summer season.
Many theatres around the country are in an impossible position due to the pandemic, and in order to survive we have to think outside-the-box.
In this instance, we have been able to think ‘outside-the-theatre’ and are delighted to be working alongside Weymouth Pavilion and Nothe Fort on this very exciting project.
It will not only be supporting two hugely popular local leisure businesses, but also offer the general public the entertainment that they have been craving – you can’t get this on Netflix!

With most shows cancelled due to tightly packed seating and social distancing difficulties at the usual indoor venues, Nothe Fort in Weymouth has proved to be popular amongst production and theatre companies thanks to its large outdoor space.
Later in August, This Is My Theatre is bringing their take on The Three Musketeers to Nothe Fort.
Both shows will place emphasis on social distancing, with socially distanced seating and hand sanitiser stations. Families will be able to sit and enjoy the shows together. However, it will be expected that everyone keeps their distance from other groups and respects the latest Government guidance.
Tickets for “Pirates of the Pavilion” can be purchased on the Weymouth Pavilion website.
