A horse took a gate off its hinges and suffered injuries on Pilsdon Pen, near Bridport.
The incident occurred on private property, rather than public land. However, walkers, cyclists and horse riders are warned to shut gates behind them, as to prevent livestock from mixing.
Bridport Police further warns that anyone walking should stick to public paths, and if you notice a broken fence or gate, call 101.
Pilsdon Pen is a 277-metre tall hill and National Trust site near Bridport, Dorset.
