Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue are attending a new fire at Wareham Forest, just three weeks after a major fire burnt down over 220 hectares of forest.
More than 75 firefighters, 12 fire engines, the Unimog, three water carriers, two Land Rover pumps and other equipment have been deployed to the scene, where they will be battling with the fire and are expected to be there for the rest of the day.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue advised that Sugar Hill Road is closed due to the danger caused by high levels of smoke in the area.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said that it will carry out a full investigation.
Please avoid the area and if your home is affected by the smoke, please keep windows and doors closed.
It is too early to confirm the cause of this fire.
