The country’s largest holiday operator, TUI, will be restarting holiday travel from Bournemouth Airport to Antalya, Corfu, Dalaman, Lanzarote and Palma, with more destinations coming soon.

TUI has been flying from other airports since 11th July, with Spain and Greece being their most popular and most-searched-for holiday destinations.

The news comes a month after Bournemouth Airport reopened to tourist flights which were mainly Ryanair-operated flights.

TUI’s first flight from Bournemouth will be to Palma, Majorca on 1st August at 7.45am.

After four months of not taking people on holidays, we are incredibly excited to be back at Bournemouth Airport and taking our customers away.

We’re starting small, offering holidays to some of our most popular destinations, so that those who want to travel can do so safely.

Of course, the current circumstances mean we need to be flexible, and we’re ready to adapt our plans if need be. We’re always monitoring local and international Government advice, and we’ll constantly review our holiday programme as we go along.

Our customers can be sure they’ll be taken care of through every part of their holiday with us – from the flight, to the transfers, and the hotel – particularly with our new COVID-19 Cover included with every booking.

We realise we’re almost halfway through the summer, so we’re glad we’re finally able to offer a variety of choices so our customers can make the most of what’s left of the warmer months.

Richard Sofer, Commercial Director, TUI UK & Ireland

Confidence is growing amongst passengers and airlines, and TUI offers a greater choice of European destinations for passengers looking to get away this summer and enjoy a well-earned break in the sun.

We’re delighted to get going again and in particular to welcome TUI back to Bournemouth Airport.

We’ve all been working hard to make sure the appropriate safety measures are in place to protect passengers and TUI’s additional COVID Cover offers peace of mind for those booking for summer 2020.
