Peaceful ‘Black Lives Matter’ protest in Swanage this weekend

Black Lives Matter Swanage

In support of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement, a peaceful protest is being organised in Swanage this weekend.

The ‘Black Lives Matter’ protest in Swanage will start at 1pm on Saturday, 13th June.

Organisers are asking BLM protestors to meet at the Main Beach Car Park in Swanage (King George’s Field), while adhering to social distancing measures and wearing face masks and gloves.

After grouping in the car park at 1pm, the protest will proceed through Swanage.

This will be a peaceful demonstration, through Swanage, adhering to social distancing measures. We will be spreading the message of institutionalised racism in the UK, and the importance of the fight towards unity and equality.

I’ve seen lots of Swanage residents commenting negatively about the international BLM movement, and think it’s important we spread the message across the town, and talk to as many people as possible.

Anyone is welcome to make a speech planned or otherwise, if you do prepare one please direct message us to let us know!

Share and invite your friends and family, the more people who attended the stronger the message.

Please wear face masks and keep 2 meters apart. (this is so important to show the people of Swanage we are taking social distancing guidelines very serious).
