A man from Chaplehay, Weymouth arrested for cannabis plantation

Weymouth and Portland Police officers were conducting enquiries after reports of anti-social behaviour this afternoon (15th July).

During their enquiries, officers discovered a cannabis growth in the Chaplehay area of Weymouth.

Consequently, a 47-year-old man was arrested on the suspicion of drug offences. He’s currently being held in custody.

Cannabis is a Class B drug. Anyone found in the possession of cannabis risks up to 5 years in prison, an unlimited fine or both. Anyone supplying or producing cannabis faces up to 14 years in prison, an unlimited fine or both.
